Diseworth Playgroup who meet three times a week
For Aerobics, Callanetics, and Badminton
For Ballet and Drama classes
For Women's Group meetings
For Childrens parties
It is also booked occasionally for discos, quiz nights, parties, fundraising events, folk evenings, etc, etc.
If you need to book the Village Hall, please contact Dave Adcock who will also make arrangements for the provision of keys at the appropriate time.
The hall and grounds are cared for by volunteers and the income from the bookings is not sufficient to employ a full time caretaker. The hall is cleaned once per week usually on a Friday or Sunday and it is the responsibility of the person/organisation who hires the hall to leave it in a clean condition. It is also their responsibility to put away chairs on the stage, and generally tidy up.
Following requests from participants ‘200 Club’ subscriptions can now be made by Standing Order when they next become due. Please contact John Hurley, David Fletcher or the person who normally collects in your road if you wish to change your payment method. New members are most welcome - the cost being one pound per number per month. The ‘draws’ are made on a monthly basis either at Committee Meetings or in one of the village pubs. An increase in members will result in improved prizes and I would ask all villagers who are not members at present to consider participation which will help to improve facilities at the over 50 years old Village Hall.
Looking forward to your phone call - David Fletcher (44) 1332 814152.
